Concerns for Girls Taking Physical Education in 1952

Dr. M.A. Collier wrote a letter to Joel Evors, Principal  of Hardee County High School,

 in regards to the girl's feeling light-headed during physical education class.

 1961 Hardee Junior High School

The new school site for the Hardee Junior High School was built for  $310,000.


Although the school was not actually completed until October, the Hardee Junior

High School opened on August 28, 1961.   All seventh graders from the

district attended classes at the new site. 


School of Choice 1966

This form shows the schools that were open in this particular time frame.

It was required that all students have a form completed stating which school

they would attend. 


Schools in existence were Bowling Green Elementary, Wauchula Elementary,

Lillian R. Brown Elementary, Zolfo Elementary School, Hardee County Junior High,

and Hardee County Senior High.
