The one room school was built in 1919 by Calvert Polk & Jack Holland. The school taught grades 1-8 and was in session for six months out of the year.

Anna V. Conner was the first teacher for the Pine Dale School. Each morning, she would do a morning devotion taken from the Bible and conducted a flag salute.

The next activity of the day was the spelling lesson. Spelling bees were held every Friday.

Recess consisted of horseshoes and townball.

In 1921 the Pine Dale school was changed to Lake Dale.
