Attention: A new GED test will start in January of 2014. Anyone who has not completed their GED by December of 2013 will have to start over with the new test. Scores from the current test will not be combined with the 2014 version.
The GED Tests cannot be taken online and can only be taken at an official testing center. Hardee County Adult Education is an official GED Testing Center. Hardee County Adult Eduction offers several adult programs such as:
To comply with Florida Statute Chapter 2011-63, Hardee County Adult Education will charge $45 (and non-resident fees if applicable) for a 6 month period. Students will then have 6 months of instruction beginning on their enrollment date. Tuition fees will be due again at the beginning of the next 6 month period.
To qualify for residency, students must verify that they have been a Florida resident for the past 12 months.
Non‐Florida residents must be assessed the tuition plus an out‐of‐state fee. Tuition: $45 per six months Out‐of‐state Fee: $135 per six months Total Tuition plus Out‐of‐State Fee: $180 per 6 months Day classes are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
