The ABE program is for students who do not have a high school diploma, have legally withdrawn from a traditional K-12 school, and score at the ABE level on the TABE placement assessment.
The TABE is a diagnostic test used to determine a person's skill levels and aptitudes. The TABE test is aligned to the national College and Career Readiness Standards for the three core subject areas: Reading, Mathematics, and Language.
ABE classes help adult students improve skills in math, reading, and language arts.
Students progress at their own pace, learn skills, and prepare for entry into the GED program, or vocational/technical training opportunities.
Course work assists the student in attaining success aimed at satisfying the needs of adults wishing to change or maintain career goals, remediate (improve) academic skills, or otherwise further their educational opportunities.
