🤯 Mixture Mayhem! 🧑‍🔬
Today, our lab became a science kitchen as we explored the difference between mixtures, solutions, and colloids!

Our star of the day? Slime! ✨ Slime is a classic example of a colloid: a special mixture where tiny, insoluble particles are evenly dispersed throughout another substance.

Think of it this way:

Solution (like sugar water) → Particles are too small to see; it's transparent.

Colloid (like slime, or milk!) → Particles are big enough to scatter light and make it look cloudy/opaque, but small enough to stay suspended.

Our students nailed this concept (and didn't make too much of a mess!). Stay tuned for more science adventures! 🚀

The "Science of Me" Project: Done and Dusted! 🔬🎉

A huge shoutout to our junior high scientists for crushing the Science of Me project! They've proven that science isn't just in a textbook—it's everywhere, even in their own lives.

From calculating the moon phase on their birthday to analyzing their favorite energy sources and even detailing their learned behaviors, these students have connected personal facts to scientific principles in amazing ways.

The presentations and the Gallery Walk were fantastic! We loved seeing everyone learn more about their classmates through a scientific lens. Great job, everyone!

🌍✨ Science was colorful today in Mr. Ombrosa’s 7th Grade Science class!

Our Wildcats modeled the layers of the Earth using chalk and salt 🧂🖍️. Each layer showed the different thicknesses—from the thin crust we live on, all the way down to the deep inner core! 🔥💡

Hands-on learning = deeper understanding (and a little fun too 😄). Great job, scientists in the making! 🐾💙🧡
