The HJH Agriculture department has been hard at work in the greenhouse! Not only can you grow conventionally (in the soil), but you can also grow crops in water. This is called Hydroponics. The ag department has several hydroponic systems working to grow butterhead lettuce and romaine lettuce (science fair project).

Tool ID placed 6th and Vegetable Judging placed 4th. Both teams are preparing for their State Finals Contest in December!

This morning, HJH treated our amazing teachers to a little warmth and refreshment with hot chocolate and iced coffee on a chilly day as they finished out the week in their comfy sweats! A small way to say thank you for all the hard work and dedication they put in every day. They truly deserve it! ☕️🍫 #TeacherAppreciation #Grateful #SmallGesturesBigImpact

Students in Mrs. Nicholson’s 6th grade science class took a trip that was out of this world! 🚀🌎
Students had to work together to escape from outer space! What a great way to review important information about Earth’s atmosphere and have some Friday fun, too! 👩🏼🚀💫🧑🏾🚀

HJH is proud to announce that two of our judging teams made it to the State Finals! Congratulations to the Tool ID Team and the Vegetable Judging Team!

6th-grade students learn the FFA Creed. These students went above and beyond. They recited the entire FFA Creed perfectly in front of the class, earning an “I Conquered the Creed” shirt!

Last week, art students learned a little about Dia de los Muertos and the significance of the iconic sugar skulls. They had an amazing time applying their knowledge of clay and handbuilding techniques to create skulls of their own.

Today's Pep Rally was a great success! We all enjoyed watching our students compete in a few games and we want to congratulate the winners! Joel Youte showed out his skills in basketball musical chairs, while Syda Newman, Jurnee Myers, Layla King, and Joshua Trevino won the balloon relay! Congratulations everyone!

Our Annex students have been busy working on Science About Me Posters. We included genetic facts about our bodies and our favorite ways to use electricity and food to make energy for our bodies.

Congratulations to November's Wildcats of the Month.

We’re excited to kick off our Annual Food Drive, Monday, October 28th through Friday, November 15th! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to show support for our community, especially those in need.
Here’s how it works: students can bring canned goods to their first-period teacher. Each grade level will have one winning class—the class that collects the most canned goods will win a special treat as a thank-you for their amazing generosity!
Please encourage your students to bring in any canned goods they can spare. Every single donation makes a difference and helps provide for families and individuals experiencing homelessness in our area.
Together, we can make a huge impact.
Thank you so much for your support.

Hardee Middle FFA is attending the National FFA Convention for two Agriscience Finalists, Amari Prieto and Caroline Cornell. There, they will compete with the best of the best Agriscience projects from across the country. We are so proud of these students and cannot wait to see how they place!
